Homemade Valentine Cards

Last year was the first year that the girls made their own valentine's for their class and they turned out so beautiful. You can check them out here.

I have to admit that doing it this way is NOT cheaper than store bought valentines. I spent over $30 for all of the stuff. But to me, it is worth it, although it takes several days to get them all made.

Here are the supplies...I bought a colored card stock pack and carefully measured, marked and cut out each card before using scalloped scissors to do the edges.

Chip board words and shapes are awesome.

I about fell over when I saw these guinea pig stickers at Walmart. I love my guinea pig Scotty so much I could burst!! lol

Foam and felt stickers.

You can't make a valentine without glitter!!

Or glitter glue!! If you have never tried glitter glue, go buy some right now!!! It dries so glittery without making a mess of loose glitter falling off. It is a MUST-HAVE for any crafter!!

Some of Emma's finished valentines.

And some of Sara's.

Super Bowl 2011

We spent Super Bowl Sunday over at Kristen's house. The only football I really watch are the Longhorns, so I only paid attention to the last 30 minutes of the game...but the team I was rooting for won!

Go Green Bay!

And of course it was exciting that the game was played here in Dallas (well Arlington) at Cowboys Stadium!!

When we got home Sara and I tried on our new bling. hehehe

The boy....he stayed home but a friend came over to keep him company...here is he coming in for a hug. My sweet boy!

Hope everyone enjoyed the game!

Happy Birthday Steve

Our friend Steve turned 33 on February 5th and he had a get together at his house. It was a lot of fun...the most fun I've had out in a long time.

Here we are in the car on our way.

Me & Kristen...I think this pic turned out pretty cool.

Here a another attempt. I think we took 5-6 different pictures before we were finally happy.

Here we are with Jacob. I love Jacob and he loves us.

My hubby

Here is Steve attempting to hula hoop.

Jamie & Tanya

Aaron & Daniel

I made everyone there take a picture with Steve's little girls pink pony, which I referred to as a "pig"

Here are some of my favorites.

Emma went to my mom's that night and Anthony babysat Sara for us. We found them asleep in our bed when we got home. I love these kids!!

Happy Birthday Steve!!!

Snow Pics at the Park

After the 2nd snow, which was much thicker and prettier than the snow earlier in the week, I took the girls to the park to take some cute Valentine's snow pics. I love how they turned out!

RIGHT ABOVE HERE

The girls thought it would be fun to wrestle around in the snow. As a grown-up I must say that rolling around in cold, wet snow does not sound like fun.

I love this pic! It looks like they are punching each other when they are just trying to block each others attempt at getting snow in their face!

I love my girls!!
