Eclipse

I just finished Eclipse, 2rd book in the Twilight series. I thought it was good. I had to set it down a couple of times to hold onto the moment before I went forward with reading it. I liked it better than New Moon for sure.

I am looking forward to reading Breaking Dawn, but I did a little research and found some spoilers so I pretty much know what is going to happen. And knowing the outcome, gives me some patience until I can get my hands on a copy of it.

Sad news though....Breaking Dawn is the end of it. Stephenie Meyer doesn't plan on writing another Twilight book. And I think that it is probably for the best. It's nice to have closure. Look at me talk about a book I haven't even read yet. I could totally hate it! We will see.

Let me get back to Eclipse.

****SPOILERS****SPOILERS****SPOILERS****

It's not that I'm trying to ruin it for anyone, but just sharing my opinion of a couple of things. I'm not giving away any big secrets....at least I don't think I am.

I was a little annoyed by Bella in this book. For one, why does she object to marrying him so much? Maybe it's just me, because I can't imagine why she seemed so put out by it. I was thinking "Hey you don't want to marry him? Fine! I will!!!!!" lol

And the thing with Jacob. I just don't see how she could be in love with him enough for it to be such turmoil. What a crappy thing to do to Edward. I could have done without all of that.

And lastly...could she be more needy? Seriously, yes it is your fault all of this is happening, but nobody blames you or is mad at you for it. Get over it. I mean, how many pity parties can one person have?

There...I know it's stupid to be mad at a character in a book. Really I'm more annoyed that Stephenie Meyer decided to take that route with it. But it's her book, her story, her characters. To each their own.

New Moon

So I finished New Moon earlier today. It is the 2nd book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I have to say that it isn't as good as Twilight, but I don't think any other book could be.

I had read a spoiler so I knew somewhat about what was going to happen in New Moon. So I had prepared myself for it and enjoyed it the best I could. For those of you who have already read it, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I went out and bought the 3rd book, Eclipse, this morning. I'm already 282 pages into it. It's definitely my kind of heroin. *snicker* I had to, I couldn't resist.

The 4th book, Breaking Dawn, is out of my price range for a book ($24)!! So I am on the library waiting list. They have over 200 copies and I'm only 23rd in line, so hopefully I won't have to wait long. It will drive me insane otherwise.

As soon as I'm done with all 4 books I plan on reading through all 4 again right away. Then I will try to wait patiently for the movie....it's gonna be hard! I am so glad that I stumbled upon these books so close to the movie date, otherwise it would be torture waiting so long for it. Now stop reading this and go get Twilight!!!!

Twilight

So I've heard ton's of stuff about this book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It's a vampire book but not dark like other vampire series. It's a series of four books and Twilight is the first. The library has 115 copies of this book and I was 91st in line to get it.

I have to say that this is the best book I have ever read. BEST. BOOK. EVER. Seriously I could not put it down until I finished it. Almost 500 pages! I started reading it at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and stopped at 6:15 to go to church (which I almost missed because I didn't want to stop reading). I picked it back up at 9pm (and on page 170) and finished it at 3 am. It is definitely a book that I could read twice in a row, it's that good.

I loved every word of it. You have to read this book. Even if you aren't into vampire books (which I'm not). What is even better is that they are releasing the movie Twilight on November 21st. I cannot wait to see it.

This morning I asked Aaron to buy me the second book, New Moon, when he went to the store. He said he wouldn't but he did anyway. But he told me that I needed to pace myself because he can't buy me a new book everyday! I promised him I would. I'm already into chapter 3...I can't help myself.

Here is a link to the author, Stephenie Meyer's website. It gives you all kind's of information on all of the book's and you can read the first chapter of each one online.

And here is the link to the movie website where you can watch the trailer. Definitely check it out. I know where I'm going to be on November 21st!

p.s. I do realize what a big dork I sound like getting so into the book, but that's okay, I don't mind.
