Caribbean Cruise Days 1-2

We haven't had a vacation with just the two of us since our cruise to Alaska two years ago so we took a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean in January. It was awesome. We had a great time and it was nice to kick back and relax.

Here is my beach tote that I added my name to. Love it!
Unfortunately there was fog in Galveston so the ship arrived late, which means we did not get to board on time. Here we are waiting (for an hour) just to park.
Here is the line we waited in for 5 hours!!

Killing time, taking pics in front of the ship...the Mariner of the Seas from Royal Caribbean.

Our cabin! It was an interior, aka cheapest, cabin and we like that no light gets in...that means sleeping as late as you want!

The tiny bathroom.

The only thing we really did the first night was go to dinner and watch the welcome show. Check out this dining room!

The food on the cruise was amazing!!

The welcome show. I love the shows! It's so much fun to get a drink and watch a performance!

This magician was also on our Alaskan cruise two years earlier!! He was still awesome and hilarious!

I love the alcohol specials they have onboard. If you have never cruised before...take extra money with you to buy liquor. I got two bottles of 70 proof Malibu Black for only $20!!

There was also a welcome parade on the Royal Promenade. It was really fun and I know the kids there had a great time.

Here I am, ready for day 2 on the cruise!

We brought the girls kangaroo LPS with us everywhere (he decided he liked Jamaica so he stayed there).

Kangaroo chilling with the dragon.

And with the strongman in the casino.

I love being at sea. It is so peaceful.

The Mariner has an ice rink with an ice show so we caught the first showing. I was pretty   impressed with how much skating they do on such a small rink!

Drinks yay!

I love the towel animals your stateroom attendant makes for you!

They had fun shows in the lounge.

The second nights show was an Elvis impersonator. He was so funny!

So that was the second day of the cruise....next stop, Cozumel!!
