Emma's 8th Birthday

I have finally resized, uploaded and am now blogging Emma's birthday party. I have over 100 pictures and I can't post them all but there is a pretty good amount here. We had her party on Sat., July 26th (her actual birthday). We started it at our house then went over to the stables to ride horses, then back to our house again!
Emma loves horses and she had the best birthday this year. She wants to go horseback riding for her next birthday too. And Sara is trying to change her tea party birthday to ride horses. But, being the Cortni that I am, I want a tea party so she's getting a tea party!

Here is Sara and Emma with Luke.

They played pin the tail on the donkey.

I love this pic of Sara

This picture came out cool with the sun in the background

She picked up riding quick!

He didn't want to go to the stables and look at him here!

Rachel tried to ride with him for a minute but he went really fast so she got off.

My attempt at a cupcake horse. I will just buy cakes from now on. lol

My baby is 8 years old!

Here is only a small portion of the presents she got, I don't have enough room to blog them all but it was pretty much either horse stuff or Hannah Montana!

God Bless Cowgirls

This is my favorite gift, I ordered it 2 months in advance to make sure I had it for her. It's different folk stories about horses from other countries. And it comes with a cd that tells each story so you can listen and read along. It's from a company called Barefoot Books, which I happen to be a rep for...they have the most beautiful books and I love books.

Of course a Hannah Montana cd!! Emma loves Hannah Montana (what girls doesn't right now?)

Hannah Montana scooter!

I don't know what we are going to do for her next birthday but I have a feeling that it's going to be very similar to this years.

Luke E

So my friend Ashley completely disappeared on me a couple of months ago. I called her yesterday and left her a message and she called me back today and then came over to hang out for awhile.

The girl's were so excited because "Luke E" as they call him is their baby brother. And being the good big sisters they are, they dressed him up in their play clothes and him being the good little brother he is, let them.

Look at how cute he is!! He is losing his little baby face. Somewhere in the beginning of my blog are pictures of him.

He was smiling perfectly normal right before I took this pic. I have no idea why he is making this face. Just one of the many wonders of Luke.

The boy looks just like his momma. I actually took a picture of her reading Horton Hears a Who to Luke and Sara, but I don't think she would appreciate me posting it. It wasn't the greatest pic in the world, especially since she's 9 months pregnant.

Emma's Hannah Montana crayon roll

I found some Hannah Montana fabric at Walmart today and of course I had to get it to make Emma a crayon roll. I even found purple and teal glitter fabric to match it. She can't have it until her birthday though.

Unlike Sara's, I attached elastic to it rather than ribbon so she can close it easily.

The crayon's are actually pulled out a little. I made her deeper so she can put colored pencils or the Crayola Twistables crayons in it if she wants to.

This is what it looks like all rolled up. I love it and she is going to too!!

Hannah Montana likes to be clean too

Since Emma loves Hannah Montana so much I have been on the hunt to get her anything H.M. I found these on the Avon website and ordered them for her. It's Hannah Montana chapstick, shampoo and hand cream. She is gonna freak out when she see's how much H.M. stuff she is getting from both us and my mom! lol

new ribbon!

I got some new ribbon in the mail today. I am so excited about it!! Isn't it cute?! I'm going to make some back to school hair bows as soon as I have time. I'm trying to get a decent bow stash so I can open Brown Bag Bows back up. Soon hopefully, soon.

4th of July slideshow

cowboy in the yard

So right after I posted the blog about the Crayon roll I stepped outside onto my porch and what do I see? People riding horses down the street. This is actually a pretty common occurance. We live in Watauga and it is a little town that still has a decent amount of country around it.

The funny thing is, these people are from the Coyote Creek Equestrian Center where Emma is having her birthday. I know this because I've spoken to them a few times when they ride by. Especially this gentleman. He is so super nice and when he saw the girl's come outside, he crossed the street and came over so the girl's could pet the horse.

How often can you say you had someone ride a horse up into your yard? lol

This horse was huge! He said that it was a wild mustang. Absolutely beautiful. Emma told him that her party was going to be at Coyote Creek and he told her that he would see her there.

He also had a little dog riding in his lap and let the girl's pet her too.
