More card sets!!

I've been busy the last couple of days making more card sets. These are so much fun to make! I'm in the process of opening a new etsy shop called The Bagby Bunch. I will still have Kid Favors Etc. only until the listings for my pendant necklaces expire.

These are examples so you get an idea of the style. I can make them with any initial, or make it a thank you card. These cards are 3x3 inches, blank inside and do not come with envelopes. Each set has 4 cards and comes with an embellished binder clip. Each set is $4.50.

Each card is an original so you may not get the exact same as the picture. I will use the same paper for the card and the "flower" embellishment on it, so it will match as close as I can.

Thank You Card Sets

I've been making little notebooks and tags and thank you cards the last few days and I thought I would share the finished Thank You Card Sets. I will list them in my etsy shop in the next couple of days.

If you want a set, let me know! Each set comes with 6 blank thank you cards and 2 embellished binder clips. The "thank you circles" are raised with foam tape to make them look super cute.

These sets do not come with envelopes and each set is $4.50.

ADHD Myths Busted

I actually got this info from Scholastic's Parent & Child magazines June/July issue and thought that I would share it with everyone. In case y'all didn't know, Anthony has ADHD and it's such a pain to talk to people about it because they have their preconceived notions of what it is.

Myth #1: Researchers have found that ADHD is a genetic disorder.

Truth: Studies suggest that genes are a significant factor, but scientists don't yet know the exact cause of ADHD. Other contributing factors may include enviroment, nutrition, and brain injuries; these are still being explored.



Myth#2: All children with ADHD are inattentive, hyperactive, and impulsive.

Truth: Some children exhibit only one of these three symptoms primarily (which can contribute to a misdiagnosis). A child with mostly inattentive symptoms, for example, may sit quietly in class and get along well with other children.



Myth #3: ADHD medication is addictive.

Truth: There is little evidence that the medications prescribed to treat ADHD lead to abuse or dependence.



Myth #4: An ADHD diagnosis automatically means a child is eligible for an "individualized education program" (IEP) at school.

Truth: Not all kids with ADHD are eligible for special education and related services. It can depend on how much it affects the child's ability to perform in the classroom. But as the parent, you do have input in the decision regarding IEP eligibility.



Myth #5: ADHD symptoms sometimes don't emerge until adulthood.

Truth: It's true that some people are diagnosed as adults. But they've experienced ADHD symptoms from childhood and continue to experience them in adulthood; it's only the diagnosis that's new.

So there you have it. Maybe that can shed a little light on some ADHD issues.

Go-Carts!!!

Aaron's sister Jennifer had her reception out at her house. Not only does she live in the country, but she has all kinds of fun toys for kids like 4-wheelers and go carts!

So of course the kids had a blast driving them around.

They have a huge backyard for the kids to ride around in.

Emma is sooooo happy here!!

Emma just drove everyone around, she loved it....I don't know what I'm gonna do when she is 16, she is such a daredevil!!

Emma told Jennifer that she wanted to stay the summer with her! Emma is definitely a country girl at heart! We already made plans to come back out to Jennifer's in a couple of weeks so the kids can ride go-carts (they have 3 of them). I think Emma has already packed a bag so she can just move in there. lol

Jennifer's Wedding

Aaron's older sister Jennifer got married on Saturday but Aaron had to work so I took the kids and went.

Anthony's 13th Birthday Party

Anthony turned 13 on Sunday, the 31st and for his birthday we had a great big water war. We set up 2 storage tubs filled with water, water guns, sponges, and water sprayers. We also had water balloons but they kept popping so I got to throw them at the kids. hehehe

When they were done with the water war, we brought out the Slip N Slide and let the kids race each other.

Then it was time for cake and presents. I can't believe my baby is 13 and that I am the mother of a teenager!

He had a really good birthday and got some cool presents (and tons of cash)!
