Our St. Patrick's Day *lots of pictures*

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

It's spring break here in Texas so I took the kid's to jump around at Jump Zone today. They had an absolute blast. And there were not very many kids there so they pretty much had the run of the place, which was pretty cool.

Sara wanted to show off her froggy socks.

When they were done bouncing to their hearts content, we went and picked Aaron up from work. He needed a gasket for work so we drove to Dallas to pick one up.

Outside of the gasket place they had these metal dinosaurs, so of course the kids had to get out and take pictures with them.

Emma is pretending that the dinosaur got her. lol

Sara and Anthony decided to race....

...here is Anthony lying on the ground pretending that he tripped right before the finish line so Sara could catch up. She didn't. And she wasn't happy about it. Poor baby, she will learn that you don't win all of the time.

Then we decided to take the kid's to a park. We were close to Oak Lawn and Scottish Rite Children's Hospital so we went to a park right by there. The kids got to run around for a little bit and totally wear themselves out! lol

There are little cars inside and you spin the wheel to make the car go a lap. They were racing for 3 laps. Anthony won by an entire lap. lol

We have a snow cone maker, so after dinner we made the kids some snow cones for dessert. I absolutely love that it is getting warmer. It's starting to feel like snow cone weather!!

We tried a new flavor that we hadn't tried before, Bug Juice! It is actually pretty good....but everyone's favorite is Blue Raspberry.

So that was our St. Patrick's Day. Tomorrow we are going to the park and either Thursday or Friday I am taking the kid's to the $1 movies. That way they have some fun on their spring break!!

We are hoping to take the kids camping at the end of April since we didn't have the time or money to go on vacation this week. They will love that, they have been begging us to go on a family vacation.

Cosmic Bowling Party

Sara was invited to a birthday party at the bowling alley and it was so much fun!! We both had a great time. Much more fun than I expected.

I really love the birthday parties where the kids just come home and go right to bed because they are so exhausted!! lol

Face Painting

My friend Ashley came over Friday night and she brought some face paint with her so we painted the kids faces. They are such silly little kids.

open house at school

This week the girl's school had open house for the parents. They invited parents to have breakfast with their kid's, then go to the classroom for the open house. Sara had hers on Monday and Emma's was Wednesday.

It was also spirit week and Wednesday was the day to wear green.

This is what Emma wants to do when she grows up. It says "I want to be a horse rider. I will teach kid's to ride horses". She is my sweet sweet baby.

And this is a random shot of her on Tuesday after we left her tutor's house. We stopped by Michael's craft store and she found this stuff.

little clay creatures

I am totally in love with little polymer clay creatures. I think that they are adorable and I wish I could make them, because that is what I would do all day. I'd create little villages of bears and bunnies. Well, maybe not, but I do really envy people who can make these beads.

I bought these three (and like 20 more that are on their way) on ebay and I plan to make them into necklaces for the girl's. I am also painting them their own jewelry boxes so they have a place to keep them safe.

These three are for Sara.

I love this little strawberry bear. I've ordered a girl with a watermelon for Emma.

I had to get a bunny for Easter. I think this is adorable but Emma's is so much cuter, it's a teddy bear with bunny ears on.

It's hard to tell, but these little things are only the size of a quarter. They are really small, yet big enough to be the center of a necklace for a little girl.

This is the ebay store I bought them at. There are all kinds of stuff there. When it gets closer to summer I want to get some patriotic bears to make some 4th of July jewelry. But that's all of the excitement I've had around here in the last couple of days. Pretty sad really. lol

Earth Hour 2009

So one of the mom's on the mom's board posted about this with a link to learn more and I have to say that I am pretty excited about this.

It's called Earth Hour and basically, on March 28th at 8:30 pm, you turn your lights off for one hour. That's it. It's a vote for the earth against global warming. Pretty cool huh?

I think it's a great idea and we are definitely participating in it. I encourage everyone to participate with their families too. I am looking forward to turning out the lights, lighting some candles and just playing with the kids. They love board games in the dark, it is so much more exciting that way.

Or, if anyone wants to make their way over here, let me know and I can come up with some fun in-the-dark games for all of the kids to play together.

Anthony's video project

Anthony had a school project to do based on a book they picked to read. He had the choice to either create a movie poster or a movie trailer for a book called Daemon Hall, which according to Anthony, was very scary.

We all worked together to make the video. Really we are all very proud of it.

my strange child

She is definitely my child. But...really?! Does she have to be so strange all of the time? Of course she does. All I know is that I will have plenty of blackmail photos of her when she gets older.

Really I love her strangeness....it's like watching a little Cortni (a little Cortni who looks nothing like me) walk around being herself. Or myself....you know what I mean.
