Rosa Lee

Aaron's grandma, Rosa Lee, passed away early this morning. I wish we would have had the chance to go up there and see her and say goodbye. Emma especially loved her. I think it was because grandma always listen to Emma talk, and let her watch cartoons in her room. One night grandma even let the girl's have a slumber party and camp out on her bedroom floor.

I don't have any pictures of her. If I can get a hold of some I will scan them and add them to the post. But she was in pain and I'm glad that her suffering is over. She lost her husband when she was 42 I believe, so I know that he has been waiting for her and that makes me happy. She really loved him and held on to his memory.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

-Mary Elizabeth Frye

Here is a link to her obituary with a picture. It is a beautiful picture of her. I don't think I've seen any pictures of her that young before. The same obituary is in the Dallas Morning News as well.
